The cast and crew of KBNB Radio Holiday Classics are at it again…but this year, they are massacring the beloved tale of the Macy’s Santa who just so happens to turn out to be the real thing!
Based loosely (very, very loosely) on the actual text of the Lux Radio Theatre’s live broadcast of Miracle on 34th Street from 1948, our version includes a Mafia mob boss with a giddy trigger finger, a New York detective with a love of 1940s Broadway musicals, a mortally wounded sound effects engineer, a starlet with delusions of grandeur and a disgrace Hollywood film star desperate to save his career..all of whom join forces to utterly destroy a classic Christmas tale, with hilarious and heart-warming results.
A Miracle on 43rd Street: A Holiday Radio Massacre is the second 1940s radio show spoof Bag&Baggage has produced…following on from last season’s smash hit It’s A (somewhat) Wonderful Life…and will star many of the same hilarious actors!
Think “Noises Off” meets “Monty Python” meets “A Prairie Home Companion” meets “Bullets Over Broadway” meets ““The Wizard of Oz” meets “Transformers 7: Revenge of the Automatrons” meets “Yes, Virginia! There Is A Santa Claus!”…kind of….
Expect a disaster this holiday season…Bag&Baggage style!
