Justin Pot

Justin Pot is a writer and journalist based in Hillsboro, Oregon. He has covered technology for two decades with bylines in publications including WIRED, Popular Science, and The Atlantic. He tries to help readers get more out of technology (and get used less by it).

In 2001 Justin auditioned for a high school production of The Outsiders at his tiny religious high school in rural Ontario, Canada. He did not get a role, so he helped run the lights. His theater career then went on hiatus until 2026, when he joined the board of Bag&Baggage, an organization that has meant the world to him and his wife since they moved to Hillsboro in 2015. He is proud to serve as secretary and a member of the executive team.
