Come to the Downtown Hillsboro Art Walk every first Tuesday of the month. Downtown businesses come together to celebrate the arts and culture in our community. Of course – art is on display. Best of all, the event is free!

 

This Month’s artist: Virginia Sumner

 

Working with acrylic and mixed media in a bold vibrant pallet is the focus of Virginia Sumner’s work since 2016.  Virginia’s versatility across multiple mediums and her style of working in series entices the viewer along for the journey seeing the world through her unique lens.  When exploring medium and design, Virginia is interweaving curiosity and perception, taking a step forward while holding her breath.  Each piece, each series builds on the last, providing a glimpse of the future.

Land Acknowledgement

We ask all visitors to The Vault Theater to take a personal moment to acknowledge and honor the Atfalati band of the Kalapuya tribe, upon whose ancestral lands this building stands. We pay our respects to elders both past and present.
