Summary

Bag&Baggage Productions presents a screening of Stanley Kubrick’s classic 1971 film, A Clockwork Orange. Based on Anthony Burgess’s 1962 novella by the same name, this controversial film is alternately celebrated and disdained by audiences — including a not-so-warm reception from Burgess himself, who felt so strongly that Kubrick had missed the point of his story that he wrote a stage adaptation of his novel after the film gained broad notoriety. (You can see Burgess’ dramatized version on stage at B&B October 10-27!) Join us for the film, and stay to weigh in on the debate yourself in a post-screening discussion with Artistic Director Cassie Greer and cast members from B&B’s production. Plus, receive a $5 discount off your tickets to the stage version, so you can be sure to explore this story in all its facets! Light refreshments will be provided.
