The Portland Ballet’s most advanced, pre-professional dancers perform a 45 minute program that engages audiences in an exploration of classical ballet training and performance. Beginning with a choreographed demonstration of a dancer’s daily exercises, the program features audience involvement and culminates in performances of repertoire selections of differing styles and eras.
Repertoire selections include:
• an excerpts from the classic Sleeping Beauty Vision Scene
• duet from the lyrical and jubilant Gloria by Dennis Spaight
• first movement of Anne Mueller’s Everything Slightly Rosy
