Summary

Bag&Baggage’s 2017-18 Emerging Artists present the first ever B&B show specifically created for young audiences!

Charlotte Grimm (Lotte for short), the only sister of the famous Brothers Grimm, simply cannot cook one more meal or wash one more pair of underpants! When her friend Dortchen suggests taking a trip to lift her spirits, Lotte sets off on a journey that quickly turns magical. Meeting three different “Cinderellas” from stories told around the world, Lotte comes to realize that sometimes a little kindness can make even the dirtiest dishes a little more enjoyable to wash, and that there really is no substitute for family and friendship.

Lotte Grimm’s Cinderella is adapted from the letters of Charlotte Grimm; Charles Perrault’s Cendrillon; Peter Christen Asbjørnsen and Jørgen Moe‘s Norwegian folktale Katie Woodencloak; and the Zuni Nation legend of The Turkey Girl. This play was created as part of the Bag&Baggage Emerging Artist Program. Most suitable for audiences aged 6-12.
