Gala 2018: Love in a Forest

06/23/18

Summary

The most dazzling, magical gala event of the season!

B&B’s Love In A Forest gala dinner and auction will transform The Vault Theater into an enchanted woodland filled with romance, light, entertainment, delicious food, delectable wines, and a dizzying array of live and silent auction packages!

Join hundreds of Bag&Baggage fans for our largest and most extravagant gala dinner and auction ever, and help raise funds to support our education and outreach programs, including: PASSPORT (our free, on-demand ticket program for high school students), our Emerging Artist program (providing young theatre professionals with life-and-career changing training to become the next generation of theatre leaders), and SOLO FEST (our unique celebration of diverse solo performers, giving artists the chance to tell their unique stories to Hillsboro audiences).

Every penny raised at our annual gala goes to support our education and outreach programs, so come prepared to be generous!

Catering for Love In A Forest is provided by Claeys Catering and will feature an exquisite, forest-themed menu, including:

  • Delectable passed appetizers featuring wild mushroom risotto cakes, warm baguette with brie and bacon grape jam, and skewered Italian grilled garden vegetables
  • Fresh mixed green salad with roasted walnuts, crumbled chevre, sliced apples, and a champagne vinaigrette
  • Family-style entrées including roasted eggplant salad, rosemary and garlic roasted potatoes, grilled frenched breast chicken with a pan pear and onion sauce, and braised portobello mushroom steaks with a balsamic drizzle
  • Chocolate ricotta mousse cups with fresh forest berry garnish!

Every guest will be greeted with a welcome glass of wine, perfect for a summer outing in a forested glade – and then peruse our stunning selection of silent auction items, with passed hors d’oeuvres, in our outdoor courtyard, complete with live music from the Hillsboro Symphony, living flowers, jugglers, and more! Dinner seating starts at 6:30pm, where you will find award winning wines from Montinore Estate waiting at the table, and when you will have the chance to bid on a breathtaking array of live auction items, including vacation homes in Spain and Palm Springs, walk-on roles during the 18-19 Season, and once-in-a-lifetime experiences unlike any you have seen at a B&B gala before!
