Blithe Spirit

05/10/18 - 05/27/18

Summary

From the delightfully wicked mind of Noël Coward, the 20th century’s master of British wit and sophistication, Blithe Spirit sparkles with out-of-this-world charm and spectral hijinks! And, with all of the theatrical technology in our new building, this production will be filled with delightful techno-trickery and stage magic!

In a plan to gather background information for his new book, novelist Charles Condomine and his second wife, Ruth, invite local eccentric and medium, Madame Arcati, for dinner and a séance. A pleasant and informative evening turns into a series of madcap misadventures when the ghost of Charles’ first wife, Elvira, materializes with a plan of her own…to get Charles back, even if it kills him!

Starring a cast of B&B Resident and Associate Artists, including Jessi Walters as Elvira, Andrew Beck as Charles, Cassie Greer as Ruth, Peter Schuyler as Dr. Bradman, and Kymberli Colbourne as the hilarious Madame Arcati!

“Some of Coward’s most sparkling dialogue ever… This play is about something substantial – the way past relationships come back to haunt us – but it’s the gossamer-like nature of the piece, its sheer levity of spirit, that makes it such an enduring achievement.’” – Daily Telegraph
