Summary

Hillsboro Youth Performance Ensemble (or, HYPE) is thrilled to present our 2026 devised showcase, Watch for Anomalies.
To address growing conflicts in their respective timelines, the Fates must gather by firelight and share their findings in the form of eight stories…
HYPE is a 6-month artistic training program for students in Washington County to learn from and work alongside performing arts professionals at no cost to them or their families. In this program, participants train in ensemble theatre creation practices—culminating in the students devising their own original show. At the beginning of May, students got to work writing, staging, and designing a series of one-act plays that revolve around conversations with the past. With an all-student production team, the HYPE showcase is meant to give students full creative control to share the stories they want to tell.
Watch for Anomalies is recommended for ages 13+ due to intense themes and course language. Please reach out to Education Associate Grayson Ashford with specific questions about content.
