Bag&Baggage received a major grant award from Theatre Communications Group via the MetLife/TCG A-HA! Program. The program is meant to enable theatres like B&B to dare to try new approaches to problem-solving artistic, managerial, production and/or technological challenges–to try things the organization doesn’t and couldn’t normally do. Our grant, “Crossing The Line: Connecting To Rural Communities” enabled us to do dedicated research with opinion leaders and arts advocates in rural communities west of Hillsboro, along with a small tour of “A Christmas Carol,” as a means of trying to understand how B&B can connect with communities like Vernonia, Banks, Gaston, Yamhill, Carlton and Cornelius in a more meaningful way. B&B Artistic Director Scott Palmer blogs about the first phase of the program on the TCG national blog site! To read the blog, click here!
