George Colligan

George Colligan has a teaching career as extensive as his prolific discography. While currently on faculty at Portland State University, George paid his dues in New York City teaching at institutions such Juilliard. In addition to releasing 29 albums under his own name, George has recorded as a side man with Jack DeJohnette, John Scofield, Cassandra Wilson, Buster Williams, Don Byron, Lonnie Plaxico, Gary Bartz, Benny Golson, Gary Thomas, Miguel Zenon, Tom Harrell, Steve Coleman, Eddie Henderson, Ralph Peterson, Vanessa Rubin, Steve Wilson, Dave Weckl, Richard Bona, among others.
