The FL!P Museum is excited to be hosting the City of Hillsboro’s Lunar New Year Celebration this year, and we are proud to be their performance venue. We’ve been talking about it for so long, we’re starting to go HORSE!
The FL!P Museum will offer a range of crafts celebrating cultures from across Asia, including China, Korea, and Vietnam. Around the corner, Bag&Baggage will host traditional Chinese music and dance inspired by this year’s Zodiac animal, the Horse.
Tickets are required to attend, as seating in the theatre is limited. You can join up for crafts first at the FL!P Museum at 1:30 or for the hour-long performance first at 3:00. Click the link at left to reserve your spot today.
SCHEDULE OF EVENTS:
Crafts and Activities @ FL!P Museum: 1:30-5pm
Performance of Music & Dance @ Bag&Baggage: 3-4pm
About the FL!P Museum:
The FLIP Museum builds multicultural children’s museums that bring children, families, and caregivers together to learn and connect through play. Our exhibits are interactive and child-centered, so children can explore at their own pace and level of interest. Our educational exhibits give children opportunities to explore their interests and discover new ones. We incorporate multicultural materials into our exhibits because multiculturalism is central to our educational mission. Our museums are places where families bond and build community. As they play, children strengthen relationships with peers and family members. Open-ended play also helps children develop skills such as critical thinking, creativity, emotional self-regulation, leadership, and collaboration.
NOTE: Ticketing is through the FL!P Museum only! One registration will grant you admission to both locations. This event is free to register for and attend, with the option to donate to the FL!P Museum.
