July Vault Academy Taught by Mandana Khoshnevisan
Come and play in the world of Shakespeare: a world of heightened language, melodrama, and high theatrical stakes! In this workshop, we’ll demystify that Elizabethan grammar (thee/thou/hither/thither?), play with poetic language, and explore the staging and storytelling techniques that make Shakespeare’s plays sing. Whether or not you’re already a Shakespeare fan, you’ll get a new understanding of his work by making your own with the same set of building blocks! Plus, you can use these same techniques in this or other genres to give your own improv (or writing, or storytelling) a new dose of theatricality!
Note: some improv experience is recommended in order to take this workshop.
