July Vault Academy Taught by Mandana Khoshnevisan
Are you a writer — or wish you were one? In this one-night workshop, we’ll learn some fundamental improv techniques to crack your brain open, kick writer’s block, and say yes to your own ideas! Applying the basic principles of theatrical improv to our writing allows us to explore character, genre, style, voice and more, delightfully and without self-judgment, to widen the world of possibilities. In this class, we’ll be spending a little time on our feet doing group and partner exercises out loud, some more of the time writing things down, and a little time optionally sharing what we wrote. Whether you’re working on poetry or prose, novel or screenplay or sketch comedy, come see what improv has to offer your writing! (No prior acting or improv experience required)
