Mandana Khoshnevisan

Being both half Persian and a student of Shakespeare, I’m delighted to be a part of this poetic fusion of a production and see the familiar made new again. Looking forward to performing it!

Mandy has wanted to be an actor since before she realized it, and has worn multiple hats in her theater career, onstage and backstage. She studied literature, theater, and improvisation at Stanford University, and spent many years in the SF Bay Area, where she was a freelance teaching artist, actor, improvisor (BATS Improv, Un-Scripted Theater Company), and Master Electrician (SF Playhouse). Since moving to Portland in 2013, she has taught at Northwest Children’s Theater, and
improvised on the mainstage at the Brody Theater, Curious Comedy, and the Funhouse Lounge, where she is the Director of Improv. Last season she directed I Can Make It Great! for Valley Repertory Theater. As an actor, her most recent scripted roles include The Pillowman (Woman), The Rocky Horror Show (Eddie/Dr. Scott), and Reefer Madness (Mae Coleman). This is her first show with Bag&Baggage, and she is very excited about that.
