Bianca McCarthy

Bianca was born and raised in California, but made Oregon her home almost 25 years ago. She has been a dancer since the age of five, was a double major at Willamette University in Theater and Visual Art, and earned a Masters of Interdisciplinary Arts from Oregon State University focusing on Photography, Painting, and Marketing. She has built a career working in the social profit community for many beloved cultural organizations in Portland, including the Oregon Zoo, Oregon Ballet Theatre, and seven years as Executive Director for Echo Theater Company. She served on a number of non-profit boards, including Polaris Dance Theatre. While a social profit crusader by day, this queer, Black, Latine femme rails against bigotry and the patriarchy by night through her own performance company, Querencia Dance, and writing. She splits time between her husband and furbaby in Portland, and caretaking for her father in Hillsboro
