The Vault is located just around the corner from our new neighbor, The FLIP Children's Museum of Hillsboro!
We have some upcoming events in partnership with them, and more to come! This partnership will help us expand accessibility — by offering an enriched childcare experience near the theater on select show dates — and also facilitate art for families with children younger than we at the theater can usually support, all while making stronger connections between organizations within the Downtown Hillsboro Cultural Arts District.
About FLIP:
FLIP builds multicultural children’s museums that bring children, families, and caregivers together to learn and connect through play. Our exhibits are interactive and child-centered, so children can explore at their own pace and level of interest. Our educational exhibits give children opportunities to explore their interests and discover new ones. We incorporate multicultural materials into our exhibits because multiculturalism is central to our educational mission. Our museums are places where families bond and build community. As they play, children strengthen relationships with peers and family members. Open-ended play also helps children develop skills such as critical thinking, creativity, emotional self-regulation, leadership, and collaboration.

In the past, we've partnered with FLIP to provide an "Afternoon Out" for grownups with little ones, on a day when we have a matinee scheduled: they provide childcare and activities, we provide the show! They're our neighbor literally around the corner, so it's very convenient for the whole family to have a nice day.
