Taya Dixon
COLUMBIA for Our Utopia (Workshop)

Taya Dixon received her B.F.A in Acting and Performance from Southern Oregon University. This is Taya’s second time working with Bag&Baggage. She first worked with them in 2014 in the Crucible (as Sarah Good), and is very excited to be back for such a fun, and playful project! Recent projects and productions Taya has been a part of include: Butterfly (as Ket) for the Yale Indigenous Playwright Festival; Oedipus (as Greek Chorus) at Isolation Theatre; Hedda Gabler (as Aunt Julia); Silkworms (Teresa); Into the Woods (as Jack’s Mother), all at the Oregon Center for the Arts. When Taya is not acting she loves photography, playwriting, and working on standup comedy during the pandemic with her cat Toulouse as her only audience member. She is currently working for the Hillsboro School District at South Meadows middle school, and gets to work with young theater students after school (which she adores).
