In this retelling of the Grimm Brothers’ Iron John, Aurelie befriends the monstrous creature Iron Jo, a talking goose, and a woodland construction crew, all on a quest to liberate their town from the corrupt Coyne Enterprises. Created for young audiences by the Bag&Baggage 2019/20 Emerging Artist cohort, The Ballad of Aurelie the Bold: a Grimm Brothers Story of Iron and Gold includes songs, humor, and values that speak to us all – no matter your age.
The Ballad of Aurelie the Bold will receive a full production in the B&B 2020/21 Season, but in the meantime, we’re bringing the story to virtual life on your screens, featuring not only the Emerging Artists, but some of your favorite B&B Resident and Associate artists as well! Directed by Mandana Khoshnevisan, the script was written by Elliot Lorence in collaboration with Jesse Groat, Trevor Harter, and Kenny Pratt.
