It is with a heavy heart that we are reaching out to inform you that we have made the difficult decision to cancel all remaining performances of The Measure of Innocence, effective immediately. The health and safety of our cast, crew, staff, and patrons is of the utmost importance to us, and in these uncertain times, we are unwilling to take any further action that risks the spread of disease. We continue to explore creative options for sharing or broadcasting upcoming programming, and we are eager to stay in touch and serve our audiences in new and innovative ways in light of the current circumstances. For example, we hope you join us on Facebook Live on Saturday, March 28th at 7:30pm for the announcement of our 2020-21 Season! We will be sure to keep you posted about any future opportunities to engage with our work, and we are so grateful for your continued support of Bag&Baggage.
Regarding The Measure of Innocence in particular, please know that this is just the beginning of the life of this show, and that we will be sure to keep you informed in the coming months about any future opportunities to experience Anya’s incredible work. Thank you to all of you who made it to The Vault in the past week and a half to share this piece with us. We do truly believe that this is how theatre changes the world, and we are grateful to all the artists involved in Measure for their dedicated and tireless work bringing this show to life.
If you have already purchased a ticket to a canceled performance, know that we will be reaching out to all ticket buyers for this weekend by the end of the day today, and to all of next weekend’s ticket buyers the end of the day on Monday. We know the state of the world is likely affecting your financial life as well as ours, but if you are in a position to donate the price of your ticket in support of our continued work, we would be eternally grateful.
If you have questions or concerns, please feel free to reach out to either of us directly at email@example.com or firstname.lastname@example.org. We know we say it all the time, but we truly believe that you, our B&B family, are the best theatre patrons in the world, and we know we wouldn’t be here without you. Thank you. We know we’ll get through the next few months together, and we wish you nothing but good health and good spirits as we ride this out.
