- Love, Betrayal, And A Bit With A Dog….
Proteus and Valentine are the bestest of friends…until Proteus also falls in love with the object of Valentine’s affections…and then the gloves come off.
Shakespeare’s first comedy is a madcap romp that bubbles over with the Bard’s youthful energy and also features some of Shakespeare’s most memorable lines, moments and plot devices…including “the bit with a dog…”
This world premiere adaptation will feature a cast of six women playing all 12 characters in Shakespeare’s play, performing an original musical score on found instruments…alongside a scene-stealing performing mutt!
Using a completely bare stage and simple costuming, this adaptation will be a fast, furious, frantic tour de force of swordplay, comedy, stage combat, quick changes and…of course…“puppy love.”
