Eric Lewis

The best thing about good theatre is the ability to take a classic play or story, with all its issues, and bring those issues to present time. Those issues, presented in a safe manner on the stage, can generate thought and discussion.

Eric grew up in Portland, graduating from Lincoln High in 1965 and Portland State in 1969. Eric ran cross country and track through college.  Eric was then drafted into the Army, trained as a medic.  Eric served as a combat medic with an infantry platoon in Viet Nam.  Eric says this was a life changing experience.  After the Army, Eric was hired by the Washington County Sheriff’s office.  Eric moved to Hillsboro and worked in the patrol division for thirty years.  Eric retired, but still works part time in an office at the Sheriff’s office.  Eric’s has been married over thirty years to Diane.  Both have two sons from their first marriages, and now have five grandchildren. Eric and Diane both like to travel and have met wonderful people in all the states and countries they have visited.
