DESCRIPTION:This short version of Here On This Bridge: The –Ism Project is an adaptation that focuses on exclusion and inclusion and debuts original monologues: “Ruega Por Mi” by Yasmin Ruvalcaba (performed by Yolanda Porter) and two more. The returning monologues are “That Diversity Thing” by Bonnie Ratner\, “Roberta Hunte” (performed by Shelley B. Shelley)\, and “Harvest” by Dmae Roberts (performed by Larry Toda).  \nHere On This Bridge: The –Ism Project was originally directed by Catherine Ming T’ien Duffly and addresses the intersections of race\, gender\, orientation\, and national origin with stories specifically from Pacific Northwest perspectives. This 35-minute touring production explores themes of how to include communities of color despite a history of exclusion. The show includes a post-show discussion with audience members to bridge divides and create much-needed empathy\, understanding\, and compassion.
