- Pay What You Will: Alias Grace
Thursday, October 15, 2020
Based on Margaret Atwood’s Giller Prize-winning novel, this stage adaptation of Alias Grace takes us into the room with one of Canada’s most notorious murderers. In 1843, 16-year-old Grace Marks was accused of brutally murdering her employer and his housekeeper. 16 years of imprisonment later, Grace still swears she has no memory of the killings, when a doctor in the emerging field of mental health arrives to try to find the truth of the matter. Alias Grace is a fascinating study of memory, culpability, femininity, and the shadowy places within the human mind.
